This mid-size carbide tipped wood turning tools is 3/8" square X 9" long when unhandled. When used in the optional handle, the tool is 7" long and the overall length is 19".The tool weighs 5 oz and if you add a handle to it, the weight of tool and handle is 1 lb 3 oz.The carbide tip on this tool is designed for turning wood.
To use theMid Size Simple 55° Detailerjust follow these 3 simple steps.
- Position the tool rest as close to the work as possible so the carbide cutter is at the lathe center line.
- Place the tool on the tool rest with the tool shaft parallel with the floor.
- While securely holding the tool slowly move the carbide cutter into the work.
Because of the small tool shaft the tool should not extend past the tool rest more then 3 inches
